Dhokraha is a quaint little village situated in the West Champaran district's Majhauli tehsil. Walking through a narrow lane amidst refreshing greenery around, one can reach the village temple behind whose premises one can find a glimpse of the charmingly simple village life, maybe find a bunch of kids playing cricket as we did during our visit.

With an exciting and warm environment throughout, the village also has some fascinating marvels such as structures called Baedis which are mud walled thatched roof silos used for storing grains.

Let us now explore a wide range of rustic local flavours and unique traditional dishes made with native ingredients and fresh produce plucked right off of a lovely backyard farm.

Tip: On your way from Majhauli Railway station to the village don’t miss out on the special Tilkut, a thick, firm, brittle, crispy and nutty winter-time sweet treat made with sesame seeds, jaggery and peanuts.
