Raipur the capital city of Chhattisgarh is a bustling city with lots of industries, commercial centers and tourist attractions. Like many other growing cities it too has a thriving street food scene. Let's take you through some of the old and iconic veg eateries over here and their best selling dishes.

Their poha and chana sabzi combination is a bestseller because it's wholesome, filling and pocket friendly. Poha is a mildly spiced and fluffy flattened rice based dish and chana is chickpea curry. SHRI SIDDHIVINAYAK SADAR IDLI CORNER

Shyam Talkies Road, Janta Colony, Budha Talab

It is an institution in Raipur when it comes to South Indian food. Be it the idli or vada, it comes along with sambar and chutney. As per the owner, their spicy sambar is nothing less than medicine because of the plenty of spices that go into it.

SULABH DOODH BHANDAR

Main Road, Phool Chowk

It is an old shop whose peda and chena based sweets are quite famous. The khoya used in the peda is cooked thoroughly, hence it had a luscious rich taste. Their optimally sweet creamy rabri too deserves a special mention.

Their chai is deemed as one of the best in the city and this claim is testified by the crowd outside this stall. The hot selling masla tea is a strongly brewed milky tea that is flavoured with ginger and other spices.

SAHU NASHTA CENTER

The food over here was completely homestyle and basic.
