MANGALORE Food Tour | Part - 1/2 I Karnataka Food Tour I India Food Tour

Mangalore, officially known as Mangaluru, is the second major city in Karnataka in all aspects after Bangalore. Also known as the Gateway of Karnataka, it is one of the most multicultural non-metro cities of India. It is also the largest city in the Coastal and Malnad regions of Karnataka.

We started our Mangalore food journey with Karishma, an engineer by profession and a food blogger by passion by visiting the Bunder.

The food journey started with the traditional breakfast of Bangalore at 96 years old New Taj Mahal Café. We tried some of the classic dishes like – Kottige, Rice Pundi, Sanjeera, and Biscuit rotti.

The second stop at Ayodhya hotel was the true highlight of the Mangalore food tour. This no-frills restaurant has the best local and authentic Mangalorean food. They serve seasonal and vegetarian food. We tried almost 20 odd dishes at the hotel.
